Dr Gear has been selling used instruments and equipment for over half a decade. We know gear across countless brands and categories and can get you the best price. With a multi channel sales strategy, your gear will be in front of potential buyers not only locally, but interstate and even internationally. Unlike many other legacy stores who have limited online presence, or smaller niche sellers with no dedicated store front, we offer the best of the old and the new ways of doing it. 

 

What can we sell?

We aren't limited to just guitars or a particular category here at Dr Gear and can sell most good quality used gear. From the humble pedal, through to high end boutique guitars, vintage synths, studio gear and beyond, we'll list and sell almost anything. The only stuff we're presently unable to take are bulky equipment like drums, PA gear and budget or poor condition large combo amps and cabs. 

 

Tell 'em the price son!

We have a tiered pricing structure for our consignment sales and the fees are as below

• Up to $2000 - 25%
• $2000 - $4000 - $500 plus 20% of the value between $2000 & $3999
• $4000 up - $900 plus 15% of the value above $4000

In addition to the consignment fees, we charge a setup fee for instruments such as guitar to ensure the instrument is in optimum condition for showing potential buyers. Any gear that needs repair, we have a repair charge and in house repair facility. Any third party marketplace charges are also payable by the owner. 

 

How do I get my gear to you and what do I need to provide?

As licensed secondhand dealers, we require some details from you including photo ID. We securely keep these details in a registered database in accordance with state regulation. Your gear must be brought into our store for assessment and storage. If you're interstate, we can help arrange shipping into store at your cost. Because of how much we ship, we get great rates so the shipping costs are quite reasonable.
